Abstract:

Business Value Analysis looks at the way teams make decisions on what to build next. Usually this responsibility was left to the project sponsors (executives in the company) but the speed of change and the complexities of work systems, is changing how project decisions are made. As a result business analysis has become a critical part of project management decision making process.

This chapter presentation will take a high level look at Business Value Analysis. The session will provide tangible ways to assess value and highlight the critical thinking skills used to support the decision process. In addition the presentation provides Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Non IT professionals with a first step in to understanding the very esoteric concept of Value.
